New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Sauna

BA SAuna for Blog

Miracles happen every day at Everlasting Adoptions, and Sauna’s story is a perfect example! She faced a journey with many challenges, but was finally able to bring her baby boy home. Everything fell into place after a whirlwind of events.

Sauna joined Everlasting Adoptions in September of 2016. Throughout her time with us, she made several, unsuccessful connections with birth moms, until she was finally matched with the birth mom who was meant to be. Having weathered these unsuccessful connections and experiencing the roller coaster of emotions that accompanies this, led Sauna to wonder if she would ever bring a baby home.

Sauna continued to patiently wait for a match that was meant to be. She was briefly connected with another birth mom, only to find out she had decided to move forward with another family. However, that very same day, birth mom, Valerie, expressed interest in getting to know Sauna and informed us she was due “any day now”. Sauna barely had a chance to digest all of this information as we found out that Valerie was being prepped for labor! Sauna cancelled plans to attend a wedding in Jamaica and hopped on the next flight to Detroit. It was happening so quickly.

After a rough night and a long labor, beautiful baby boy, Joseph Dimond (named after Sauna’s dad) was born. Once Sauna held him in her arms, all that she had been through to get there was a distant memory. We want to thank Valerie for her selfless act of choosing life for Joseph. We admire Sauna’s perseverance and resolve and are honored to have played a role in her adoption journey. We wish you all the best life has to offer and look forward to watching Joseph grow.

New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Andy and Peyton

v2

Congratulations to our proud parents, Andy and Peyton who began their journey with Everlasting Adoptions in December of 2016 and welcomed their baby boy 15 short months later! They began communicating with a birth mom who was interested in getting to know them in early September 2017. After some back and forth and with guidance from Everlasting’s staff, it was clear to them that this match was not meant to be. Andy and Peyton were disappointed, but realized situations like this do arise and the right birth mom for them was out there.

Everlasting notified them a few weeks later that another birth mother was interested in getting to know them. Andy and Peyton were thrilled to be matched again so quickly, but they moved forward cautiously optimistic. As with most matches, challenges can arise along the way and Andy, Peyton and birth mom’s experience was no different. With the help of Everlasting Adoption’s staff, Andy and Peyton offered support and flexibility to birth mom when she faced uncertainty with her decision. Despite internal anxieties, they remained patient and gave her the space she needed. Their patience paid off and things were quickly back on track.

Andy, Peyton and birth mom’s relationship continued to grow and they were even video’d in on the ultrasound revealing the gender of the baby. How thrilled they were to find out it was a baby boy! The time had come for Andy and Peyton to finally meet their baby. Andy left from Texas arriving in Arkansas to prepare for the delivery on March 19th; eagerly awaiting to fill the empty car seat behind him.

Despite experiencing a high risk pregnancy situation, birth mom delivered a healthy baby boy on March 22nd, 2018 at 11:17 am. Andy and Peyton were overjoyed to finally hold their baby boy in their arms. The adoption was officially finalized in Arkansas on March 28th,  only 15 short months after signing on with Everlasting Adoptions. The new family made their way home to start their lives together.

Thank you, Andy and Peyton for choosing Everlasting Adoptions to be the ones to guide you through the adoption process. We can’t adequately express our gratitude to birth mother for her courage and decision to give her baby life. Spring brings with it a promise of new beginnings and we look forward to hearing about all the new beginnings Andy, Peyton and baby will share as a family of three.

New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Yvonne

165 120 its a boy

Yvonne joined Everlasting Adoptions at the end April of 2017, and just 10 short months later, she is the proud mother of her newborn baby boy, James. In August of 2017, Yvonne was selected by biological parents whose baby was already born and the birth parents were considering adoption because parenting was becoming a struggle and challenge for them. It turned out that this was not the situation meant for Yvonne. The birth parents decided to parent after all. Needless to say, it was an emotional ride for all of us involved. Life has its challenges for sure!

Little did Yvonne know that 2018 was going to come ringing in with the purpose of fulfilling her dream. Yvonne was selected by another birth mother that was giving birth in February and she was so excited!! She flew out to meet the birth mom asap and it was a “meant to be match.”

The rest is history. James was born on February 15, 2018.

Our gratitude goes out to Yvonne!  As a single woman she had the confidence and trust in us to make her dream of becoming a parent a reality. Our gratitude and thanks also go out to the birth mother for giving her baby life and for letting us match her with the mother that was meant to raise her baby. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!

New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Nichelle

Blog Nichelle

Sometimes adoptive parents have a failed adoption before they meet the baby meant to be theirs and Nichelle was no exception. This time in 2016, Nichelle had never dreamed that she would be holding her precious baby boy as the holiday season approached. After dealing with the absolutely crushing news that a birth mom she was previously matched to had decided to parent, Nichelle bravely stepped her toes back in the waters of waiting for a birth mom. After some short connections that didn’t work out, Nichelle was matched with birth parents Jazmyn and CJ. After meeting in person Nichelle felt confident that this was her match.

She continued to get to know Jaz & CJ and built their relationship. Jazmyn was induced on Halloween and that afternoon, along with one very excited grandma, Victor was welcomed to the world with a blanket of love and joy from his mom, grandma and birth parents. The perseverance and determination to be a mom pushed Nichelle through the ups and downs of her adoption journey. We admire the courage it took to continue to open up and put herself out there. We are forever grateful for the selfless act of love that was made by CJ and Jaz as they considered the future of their son. Congratulations, Nichelle! You certainly have the cutest pumpkin in the patch!

New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Brian and Sara

Holley BA

Brian and Sara rang in 2017 with the exciting decision to begin their adoption journey with Everlasting and boy oh boy will they be ending 2017 with a bang! When Brian and Sara received the news that birth mom Kelly was interested in getting to know them, the news was overwhelming and exciting at the same time! The first connection with a birth mom is always a bit overwhelming, but Everlasting guided them through their first contact and early communications. As the bond between the 3 grew, the excitement of baby’s impending arrival filled Sara and Brian with pure joy. While Kelly was scheduled for a C-Section mid November, Anderson had different plans! Kelly called Sara on November 3rd with the news that she was certain she was in labor. Brian and Sara packed up and took a red eye to Ohio. At 9:22 a.m. their lives changed forever. Waiting anxiously just a few rooms over, several minutes after being born, Anders met his mommy and daddy! While Brian and Sara were confident in Kelly’s decision, the 72 hours waiting for Kelly to sign her consents were long. This new family spent time together making sure that everyone felt supported. Just 4 days after going into labor, thanks to a speedy legal process, Brian and Sara were off on their new adventure as parents! Sara and Brian said that the connection with Kelly was divine and something they will treasure and cherish forever. We are all beyond blessed and hold dear to our hearts the confidence that Brian and Sara placed with us to build their family as well as the trust Kelly had in Everlasting to aid in her adoption plan. Congratulatulations, Brian, Sara & Anderson!

New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Paul and Diana

Baby Feet Use

Many people have stories about the ups and downs of their adoption journey and Paul and Diana are no exception. Paul and Diana experienced the heartbreak and devastation that came with a failed adoption; despite the pain and despair they went through, they never lost hope that the birth mom that was meant to be theirs was out there. When they connected with their birth mom, Alicia for the first time, they were cautious but overjoyed. Like many adoptions, this connection had a rocky start but as time went on, Paul, Diana and Alicia developed a strong and unique bond. Paul and Diana’s family grew to be much bigger than just a new baby. When sweet Joseph was born in October, their hearts were full and appreciation for their birth mother grew more intense than ever! Paul and Diana have been through so much on their adoption journey. Serving and accompanying them on their journey has been one of our biggest joys. We could not be happier for Everlasting’s newest family! Congratulations to all!

New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Courtney

Good things come to those who wait! The wait may be unbearable at times and your destiny can be uncertain. Just when she had thought she had run out of perseverance, Courtney received the call that a birth mom was interested in getting to know her. Courtney had already experienced much heartache with a failed adoption.  Much to her surprise, her birth mom was due in just a few short weeks, and it seemed like there would not be enough time to prepare. Due to the devastation she faced with her failed adoption months earlier, she cautiously dipped her toes into the waters of this connection and held her breath. Courtney’s life completely changed on July 19th, when her daughter Olivia Taylor was born. The journey may have been excruciatingly difficult at times, but when all 19 inches and 7lbs of Olivia were placed in Courtney’s arms, we are certain that the rough road made sense, and the path was clear. This beautiful baby girl was the daughter that Courtney was meant to have. Adoption can be trying, but anything worth having is worth waiting for! Courtney and Olivia, we are honored to be a part of your life and your story, and we can only imagine the adventures that lay before you both!

New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Christy and Adam

Adam and Christy had always envisioned adoption being a part of their pathway as parents. Like many couples, they had high hopes of adopting after having biological children of their own. When they faced an uphill battle, adoption became part of their journey sooner than they had thought. They were elated when they got the call on their 12 year anniversary that they were being welcomed into the Everlasting family. Plans changed when they were connected to a birth mom and took a step back from their work with Everlasting to explore this connection. They welcomed their first son John into the world in July of 2014. When they felt ready to adopt again, we began working with birth moms once again to find John a sibling! Adam and Christy experienced many ups and downs in their journey, as many adoptive parents do. After several failed connections and close calls, things all fell into place when they were connected with their birth mom, Chelsie. They had the opportunity to meet Chelsie and her family and hit it off wonderfully! Shortly after returning home, they were surprised with the news that baby would be coming much sooner than expected. On August 8th, Andrew was born and John became one of the cutest big brother’s ever!! We can not thank Christy and Adam enough for trusting Everlasting to help build their family. That gratitude extends even further for their birth mom, Chelsie for allowing us the opportunity to help her when she knew that parenting was not the best decision for Andrew or her and her children. Happy Birthday, Andrew! We can’t wait to see what kind of trouble you and your brother get into!

New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Lattrice and Michael

Michael and Lattrice joined the Everlasting family at the end of 2015. They dreamed of becoming parents, sharing their passions and seeing the world through the eyes of their child. They wanted nothing more than to travel, go to sporting events, and most of all,  share their love of reading with their child. They entrusted Everlasting to help them connect with a birth mom. Michael and Lattrice had a rocky road during their adoption journey. They had several potential birth moms, some who they decided were not the right fit and some birth moms who decided that her path was going in a different direction. The wait was challenging and without a map to guide them, sometimes it didn’t make sense. That all changed in May, when they were contacted about a birth mom named, Skyler. Michael, Lattrice and Sky spent time getting to know each other and connecting. Sky and her son travelled to visit Michael and Lattrice and being together sealed the deal. They were a match! One month later, at 10:08 pm, on July 30th, Sky delivered a beautiful baby girl. Michael and Lattrice named her Mia Skyler. Just 8 days later, they cleared ICPC and were headed home! Their journey was 19 months and at times the wait was frustrating and difficult, but worth it. We hope that baby Mia, Lattrice and Michael truly live a life full of love, joy and that this is their happily ever after.

New Birth Announcement – Congratulations to Jessica and Jonathan

Jessica Jonathan BA

Jessica Jonathan BA

When Jessica and Jonathan got THE call, they had only been with Everlasting for 6 short months. There was a birth mom named Lucia who was interested in getting to know them and from that point on, an extremely unique and special connection began. With both Jessica and Jonathan and their birth mom being just a few hours away from each other and in the same state, they had the extraordinary opportunity to develop a deep relationship with Lucia. Not only were they able to get to know Lucia on so many different levels, they were able to get to know her little boy as well. They enjoyed many outings together. From golfing and swimming to apple picking and magic shows, there was never a lack of laughter and smiles when they were around each other! They of course made sure to gather for meals, eating everyone’s favorite foods! Lucia, Jessica and Jonathan spent so much time also getting to know the precious baby boy that was kicking away in her belly. They even went to ultrasounds together. Boy did they get the surprise of their life when at one ultrasound they were told the baby was a girl and then later found out it was a boy!

This time together allowed them to share so much about their lives and provided love and support that went much farther than their adoption. Knowing that having an open adoption was crucial to Lucia’s adoption plan, being able to spend so much time together allowed them to learn so much about each other and build a strong foundation for their future.

It is not unusual to face some challenges in an adoption plan and this was no exception, but one thing was certain, there was so much love and compassion surrounding this connection. Lucia was induced on August 2nd and just hours after being admitted, around 3pm, she delivered a beautiful baby boy. Briceton Noah weighed 7lbs 2oz and had a head full of gorgeous dark hair! When confronted with the reality that this sweet boy was here, Lucia struggled to say good bye. She had decided that parenting was the right decision and said goodbye to Jonathan and Jessica. Jessica and Jonathan were devastated, but honored Lucia’s change of heart. They were shocked when she called and said she had changed her mind again and would like to place him with them. They were elated and moved forward with their adoption plan full force.

Connections like this are unique and not always does an adoptive family get to know their birth mother so well. We know this was not easy and at some points it felt like things would not ever work out, but the strength of the relationship that was built persevered through it all. We commend Lucia and applaud her strength and courage to make the decision she felt in her heart was right for her son. Jessica and Jonathan never gave up hope even when people told them things might not work out. Miracles happen every day, and Briceton, your momma is right. You are a lot of miracle in such a little boy.
