Katie & Kyle In Pennsylvania

We are so excited to begin this journey! We are from a small town in Central Pennsylvania, and we absolutely love it. We met while working at the same grocery store as cashiers in high school. We attended different high schools, but found out that we only lived a few miles from each other.

Kyle works for a construction company. He works in the office, and enjoys being in a supportive role for the company. Katie works for a small community bank in the back office. She loves helping her customers and coworkers!

We love rooting for the Phillies and the Eagles! We do not make it to many big league games, however we are close to the Reading Phillies, and we go often to games there. We are also youth group leaders at our church. We love spending time with the youth and helping them grow in their faith and having fun!

We have a Jack Russel Terrier named Nelson. He is almost 4 years old, and he keeps us busy! He has a lot of energy, and enjoys long walks and playing fetch off leash at the local tennis courts (that are fenced in, so he doesn't run away!:)) He does really well with our young niece and nephews, and we have no doubts that he will love our baby too! He LOVES people, and enjoys getting pets from strangers on our walks.

We live in a small town in Central PA. There are a few parks near our house, as well as a rail trail that connects a few towns. We enjoy taking long walks with our dog on the rail trail, especially Sunday's after church.

We have started to collect items for our nursery! We are preparing for the little one to join us soon.

We are grateful that we come from a small community that looks out for one another. We have fantastic neighbors, and we enjoy playing outside in the backyard with their children as well!

Both Kyle and Katie come from large families, and we would not have it any other way! We love the time we get to spend with our families, and we love how close everyone lives to us. All of our family members live within a 3 hour drive, so it is easy to get together and spend time visiting in fellowship.
Kyle has 5 nephews and Katie has a niece, with another niece on her way! We also have many “nieces” and “nephews” that our best friends have graced us with! We love watching these children grow, and for now, we enjoy being the “cool aunt and uncle” :) We cannot wait until we can add to the cousin mix!
Both of our parents are so excited to be grandparents again!! Our parents have been so supportive of us in the journey, and we would not be where we are today without them.

We enjoy attending Reading Phillies games frequently, and we try to get to a Philadelphia Phillies game once every few years. We love going to the beach, usually in Delaware, and try to go at least once a summer. Our little dog also loves the beach, so we try to take him to the beach in the spring/ fall, if we can! We love that we are only a few hours from the beach, so day trips are what we do most.

We also enjoy playing card games together, playing Nintendo Switch games together and camping! We have a small tent that we take to different campgrounds in the area. Hanging with our youth group kids and other church members keeps us busy as well!

We had high hopes of getting pregnant pretty quickly after getting married, however 4 years later we have been unsuccessful in this journey. We are so excited to open our home to a baby! Our desire to become parents is what led us to pursue adoption. Adoption is no stranger to our family (6 of Katie’s cousins are adopted) and we are excited to bring life into our home.
