baby riley born1

Congratulations to Shawn and David on their new Everlasting Miracle – Baby Riley – Born October 6, 2010.

He was 7.9 lbs and 20 inches long, and we have heard that he is behaving beautifully in his 17  hour car ride home!  Please pray for their safe arrival, and please pray for birthmother, Amanda, who has been so self-less and courageous during this difficult time in her life.  She has given Riley the best gift anyone will ever be able to give him. We wish ALL of you the best on this new path in your journey through life.

Congrats to Andrew and Kaylene Tawney Faith – Born June 14th

Dear Carol and Everyone at Everlasting Adoptions,

We would just like to say Thank You for all you have done for us. Thank You does not seem like enough for the blessing we have received.

Our daughter was born on June 14th at 10:57 am. She weighed 6 lbs 4 oz and was 18 in long. Her name is Tawney Faith.

Thank you for walking through this process with us, for just being there to talk to, for listening and encouraging us when our hopes were down. Everlasting Adoptions was wonderful, not only to us but also to our birth mother who told us she felt very special as we all walked through this process together. Again we would like to say Thank You!!!!!!

Congratulations to Andy and Mickey – Baby Ryan Born July 7, 2010

Dear Future Adoptive Parents:

We were matched with a birthmother in just 5 months; however, her decision to parent left us facing a sad reality…Do we press on, or do we give up on our adoption plan???? Carol stayed optimistic and supportive during our indecision; she is an EXCELLENT sounding board and VERY professional. Most importantly Carol and her team became exactly what we needed and more. They are an advertising agency for you! But they are also a guardian over your fears and a protector of your dreams for parenthood. We were successfully matched again 5 months later!!!

So in 10 months we touched on every emotion imaginable, but Carol made the goal of adoption foreseeable. Lots of Prayer, Lots of Hope…our son Ryan was born July 7th, and we brought him home 5 days later. Thank you Carol and the Everlasting Adoption Team

Mickey & Andy

A Thank You From Birthmother, Ren

Hey Carol! It’s been almost a year since I used Everlasting Adoptions to find the perfect family for the baby I was having. He will be one year old on July 31 and not once have I regretted the decision I made. Thank you so much for helping me find the perfect family! Your help will not be forgotten by me or his adoptive parents!

Adoption Tax Credit Extended

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE TAKEN FROM www.adoption.com

Adoption Tax Credit Extended thru 2011
The Adoption Tax Credit, which was scheduled to expire in 2010, has been extended for one year, through 2011. The Adoption Tax Credit will see several positive adjustments, as confirmed by Joint Council on International Adoption Services:

The maximum credit will increased from $12,150 to $13,170,

The Adoption Tax Credit is now retroactive to January 1, 2009. This represents a potential increase of $1,000 for adoptive families.

The Adoption Tax Cred was made refundable. If a family has no tax liability, the IRS will refund the amount due.

Please consult a tax professional for all of your tax questions.

The extension of the Adoption Tax Credit through 2011, was passed as part of the health care reform bill which was signed into law by President Obama on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. The changes have been published in detail by the Journal of Accountancy:

"For 2010, the maximum adoption credit is increased to $13,170 per eligible child (a $1,000 increase). This increase applies to both non-special needs adoptions and special needs adoptions. Also, the adoption credit is made refundable. The new dollar limit and phase-out of the adoption credit are adjusted for inflation in tax years beginning after Dec. 31, 2010. Also, the scheduled sunset of EGTRRA provisions relating to the adoption credit is delayed for one year (i.e., the sunset becomes effective for tax years beginning after Dec. 31, 2011).

For adoption assistance programs, the maximum exclusion is increased to $13,170 per eligible child (a $1,000 increase). The new dollar limit and income limitations of the employer-provided adoption assistance exclusion are adjusted for inflation in tax years beginning after Dec. 31, 2010. The EGTRRA sunset of provisions relating to adoption assistance programs is also delayed for one year (i.e., the sunset becomes effective for tax years beginning after Dec. 31, 2011)."

– Journal Accountancy, March 22, 2010

Thank you to each family that lobbied for the Adoption Tax Credit by making your voice heard at both the state and federal levels! This is great news for adopting families across the US, making adoption possible for many that could not otherwise afford to build their families through international adoption.

Please Welcome Clay – Born 2-19-10

Please Welcome Savannah Rose – Born 2-18-10

Hi Carol! Here is a picture of our newest addition Savannah Rose! She was born Feb 18, 2010 weighing 6lbs 9oz and was 19.5 inches long! She is the best baby (and I am not being biased…well maybe a little)! She only cries when she is hungry. I would like to thank you so much for your unbelievable level of commitment to us and all the Everlasting parents-to-be. No other agency or adoption related business gives this much individual attention. Thank you so much! Michelle and Vern
