Dear Birthmother,

We just wanted to take a second to introduce ourselves. Our names are Stephanie and Calvin. We want to thank you with our entire hearts for considering and looking at our profile. After struggling with infertility and failed rounds of IUI, we know adoption is the right path for us to welcome a baby into our family. Due to our circumstance, all we want for our next chapter of life is to provide an enriched, loving and stable home for a child, full of laughter and love, with a huge support system outside of the home. We want to give them everything you can hope for and so much more!

About Us

We have been together going for 17 years and have been married for 11 of those wonderful years. We met when we lived in the same complex all those years ago. After finally speaking, we stayed friends for a few years. One day, we decided to go to dinner together for a company dinner hosted by Calvin's work. On the way home, Calvin got a phone call and referred to me as his girlfriend and we have been inseparable ever since.7
We love going out to dinner together or heading out to the drive in to see an occasional movie. We are both very big into the Marvel movies and TV shows. We love spending time at home cuddled up on the couch with our 2 beautiful fur babies, Abbie and Phoebe, while watching a variety of shows. I also sneakily talked Calvin into playing Fortnite with me and it turns out he loves it. So sometimes we just sit back, relax and game together. We also share a love for body art.

About Stephanie

I am a Food Attendant at the local international airport. In my free time, I like to journal. In case you don’t know what that is, it is basically scrapbooking but in a smaller size journal. I love to create collages with stickers and decorative paper. When I am not doing that, I am usually playing Fortnite. I also stream while I play on Saturday’s. When I'm not doing those things, I am with friends or family or treating myself to a spa day, when needed. I collect perfumes, lotions and bath gels. I love the beach and the ocean water. Something about it calms everything inside of me and just gives me the ultimate amount of peace and serenity. I love to travel to Santa Monica to visit the pier and just enjoy the food, sun and water.

About Calvin

I troubleshoot and repair cell phone towers as a Field Technician at a communications company. When I am not working or spending time with family, I have some creative hobbies I enjoy. I have been learning photography as well as photo editing. I have always had a love for those captured moments and how we can make them look extra magical. I also perform in a couple local bands. I have been tech savvy since a young age. I love videos games, comic books, movies and all the things to go with them. So art, music and collectibles that go with them are a must, especially when it comes to Star Wars.

Our Home

We bought our first home together in 2016. It is a 4 bedroom house in a little community called Parkdale Park. We have a landscaped style yard in the front and the back. The front yard is a decent size, but the backyard holds all of the glory. We have a humungous backyard for the dogs to run around in and for kids to play in. We have our master bedroom with a huge walk-in closet that could potentially be turned into a nursery or we have a spare room we can make into a nursery and later convert into an ideal space for a growing kid. In the center of the community, there is a primary school and even a water park with an attached rec center. The neighborhood is quiet for the most part. The neighbors are friendly and very helpful if we need help with yard work or house work. We love where we live. We made sure to pick an area where the crime rate was very low as well.

Our Extended Family

Stephanie's Family

I am very close to my family. To start off with, I am adopted myself! My father lives with us. He has been there since I was born and adopted me and my older sister when I was about 8 years old. I would say my dad is also one of my best friends. We have always had this bond like no other because in my heart I know he wanted me when my biological father didn’t, and because of this, I never treated him as if he wasn’t my dad. He IS my dad, blood or not.

My siblings are some of my very best friends. I tell my older sister and my younger brother basically everything. We are really close. We do Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. I mostly end up cooking for my siblings and having them over with us. The house is always filled with love and laughter and sounds of kids playing and having fun themselves.

Calvin's Family

My parents are no longer with us. We were very close, so I get many of my traits from them. My father taught me most of what I know about computers. He was a former law enforcement officer. He had the most wonderful sense of humor and was one of the most open and goofiest people I have ever known. He never met a stranger. He could talk to anyone and never passed judgement on a first impression.

My mother was joyous. She laughed a lot. She was always welcoming and when times were hard for some of my friends, she opened our house to them to keep them off the streets. She always made sure that the important things to keep everyone happy and fed came first. They never treated me like I wouldn't understand at any age. If I asked about something, they attempted to help me understand. The learning never stopped.

Our Family Traditions

Stephanie's Traditions

Growing up, it was a Christmas tradition that we would open 1 present each on Christmas Eve. It was also customary for my father to come into our rooms very early on Christmas morning going “HO HO HO! MERRY CHRISTMAS!” in order to wake us up from our sleep to go open presents. I am specifically excited to make THIS a tradition with my own kids someday. On Easter, we would get giant Easter baskets full of candy and little trinkets. During St. Patrick’s Day, my mom would make green little “leprechaun” foot prints all over the house that she made with her hands and fingers. It is safe to say that I can’t wait to do all of this for my children in hopes they will want to do the same thing for their kids and pass down the road for many generations to come.

Calvin's Traditions

Christmas and Thanksgiving were important for my family, as we always cooked big and opened dinner to our friends and family. I learned the importance of "better to give than receive". My parents always made Santa a big thing. Even if it meant my dad getting up early to set stuff up to make it look like toys had just been pulled out or going to "run an errand" and take me with so the other could set stuff up. The Easter bunny always had baskets with gifts and candy, as well.

What Led Us To Adoption

After years of trying naturally and finally being informed that natural birth would be a low probability, we felt that opening our home to adoption would be the way to complete the missing part of our family.
