Dear Birthmother,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to consider me for your child. I am happy to share more about my life with you. I understand how hard it can be to make an adoption plan and how strong you are to make that decision.

I have wanted a family as long as I can remember but infertility has caused me to seek alternate methods of completing that. I am a single woman in a position to offer a safe and stable home with enough love to last a whole life time.

I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 1 chicken, and I live next to a school. I love to hike, camp, listen to music, read books and spend time with friends and family. I hope to share these things with the little one when ready. I am close to the outdoors, so there are lots of things to do outside. My parents live close by on 5 acres and love to have family over. We play badminton, and basketball and have Easter egg hunts. It's lots of fun for the younger and older people.

About Me

I have dreamt of having a family all of my life. I am at a point in my life that I am ready to have a family of my own. I am wiser than I once was and more capable. I am a very strong, single woman with an excellent support system. I hope for a day when I meet the perfect father and husband, but I do not want to put my dreams of becoming a mother on hold. I will always advocate for and protect my child. All my free time will be about the baby, and I will give my child all the love and care that I have in me.

I work as a Documentation Clerk for a company that makes jet engine parts. I work with paperwork that routes parts through different operations, so it's important that the routers are correct. I have been doing this for a year. Previously, I was a Veterinary Technician for 20 years.

I have a tender heart and am good with animals and people. I am a Christian and have strong beliefs that Jesus is our God. I would love to introduce my child first to Bible stories and would hope they would follow. I have an Associate's in Science majoring in Veterinary Technology.

I love the outdoors and enjoy spending time hiking and camping. I have an RV that is just big enough to have everything and small enough that I can tow it with my jeep. So, I guess it's glamping these days. I am a black belt in Taekwondo, and I enjoy doing patterns and sparring. It has taught me to be able to defend myself if needed and to become more balanced. I love spending time with friends and family visiting. I have wonderful people in my life and I am grateful to spend time with them. I like rock climbing gyms and like to workout when able. I spend time with my animals at home (2 dogs, 2 cats and 1 chicken), and they are very fun to be with. I also like home improvement tasks.

My Home

I bought my 2 story home in 2003. It is 1040' and is 2 bedroom with a bonus room. The home is babyproofed and ready for a little one. I am always trying to do my best to fix it up a little. I have 2 dogwood trees that are simply stunning in the summertime in the front yard and maple and another tree in the large backyard.

I live in a diverse area near a school. My town is a sister city with anot er town and between the 2 towns there are 15 parks. I have been to several of them with my siblings when they were younger. One fun memory is we went park hopping and hit about 9 out of the 15. We also have a local museum.

My Extended Family

My family is large, thanks to adoption! My late birth dad was adopted, and all of my 4 siblings here are adopted. I am so happy to have them around. I also have stepsisters and a half-sister in California. We keep in touch on Facebook and text sometimes. My mom's mom lives in Northern California, and we have lots of family that live near that area. We love visiting grandma and grandpa. My grandma is so loving, and wise and always keeps up with everything. I lived with her for a while when I was in college. Many great memories were made spending time with grandma, grandpa and great grandpa playing dominoes and cards. We have lots of aunts, uncles and cousins as well as nieces and nephews close by and it's fun to see them when we visit. My family here can't wait for a baby! My parents want to be grandparents and my siblings can’t wait to be aunts and uncles. My parents are excited to help with the childcare and so is my 18-year-old sister. I will have lots of help!

My Family Traditions

We love having holidays at my parent's home. It is a popular place to visit. On Christmas, most of us stay the night so we can wake up together in the morning. We drink coffee and open our stockings once awake. Then we go from youngest to oldest opening gifts until they are all gone. We visit for a while and then have a big breakfast and then visit some more. We play dice, cards or board games afterward. It is so much fun to spend so much time together.

On birthdays, our parents get us a gift and will make us a dessert for our special day. We visit for a while and enjoy each other's company. We have Thanksgiving at our parent's house and each of us brings a dish to help complete the meal. We also celebrate Easter and Halloween.

What Led Me To Adoption

I have always wanted a family but it has proved hard to obtain naturally. I have an adopted birth father who has passed away and 4 adopted siblings. Adoption just seems like the right thing to do to obtain a healthy family.
