Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am inspired by your courage in making what I can only imagine to be a most difficult choice, but one for which I hope to help reassure you, in reading my profile, that your baby will be loved, nurtured, and cared for by someone who has made motherhood a lifelong dream. As I write this letter to you, I think with excitement about the joy and fulfillment I would feel to raise your child as my own – providing a home and family that will bring happiness and good health to your child. I feel that everything along my life path has led me to this exciting place, ready for motherhood. Growing up, I always envisioned myself as a wife and mom and I found that my nurturing spirit is part of my everyday life. I would not want to miss out on the opportunity to share my life experiences, love and blessings with a child of my own. Everyone in my life is so excited and supportive of my decision to take this journey to motherhood. When I shared the news with my father it bought him to tears and I have never seen my father cry! So know that this child will be surrounded by LOVE from coast to coast. After attempting pregnancy and prayers of conception, it became clear to me that God had a different plan for my life. Then people I knew and some I didn’t know began to share their stories of both foster care and adoption who did not know of my decision to adopt. Through these experiences I found great comfort.

My Name is Michelle and I live in Georgia. I was born in California and grew up between there and Illinois and I’m a graduate of Clark Atlanta University. I’m adventurous, outgoing, caring, and a passionate person. I am fortunate to be in a great place in my life where I can focus on family. I’ve had many great opportunities and have traveled to over 22 countries and had many amazing life changing experiences during my travels. My exposure to various international cultures, food and people has made more humble and excepting to all people. I spend a lot of time with family and friends and have an amazing little God daughter name Chloe. I love to cook and create dishes influenced from many of the countries I have visited. I’ve settled in a great place in Georgia that combines everything I cherish: family, outdoor activities, outdoor concerts, riding my bike, visiting parks and museums. I am a professional event planner and operation manager. I love the process of creating projects and delivering the visions and dreams for clients.
I live a family oriented diverse neighborhood in a great part of town with a play area and community pool. I have many plants and herbs that I grow on my private, covered deck. I live 10 minutes from my best friend, God daughter, and my cousin’s family. My mom and my niece, who’s in college, live 20 minutes away and all are patiently awaiting the arrival of a new little addition to our family. My mom is retired and has volunteered to handle the day care for the baby. I have a loving community of family and friends who I call my village. There are parks and good schools in my district along with walk and bike trails. Finally, I have a room and cozy home waiting your baby.
My Extended Family
My mom relocated to Georgia in 2007 and retired in 2011 we communicate almost daily and my father is a semi-retired and lives in Southern California with his wife of 30 years. I see him at least twice a year and we talk weekly. I also have a 2nd set of parents who are actually my aunt and uncle and have been a big part of my life since before I took my 1st breath, they too live in Southern California. In addition, I have brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins on the West Coast and in Georgia. I’m surround by many other family members and dear friends. I have a community of culturally diverse friends. We spend our time hosting events and dinners, shopping, traveling and supporting each other in our day to day life. Most of us have been friends for more than 20 years. One of my closest friends lives 10 minutes away. I’m a God mother to their daughter and we are a true family.
My Family Traditions
My family and I do not need an excuse for a celebration. I’m planner by profession and I love planning events and spending time together. For the last few years, we have had two Thanksgiving dinners a year. The first one is held on the West Coast at my aunt and uncle’s house and the second on the East Coast where we alternate houses. Some think it is interesting that we have our West Coast Thanksgiving dinner two weeks before Thanksgiving, but we all say why not! It is a great time and a great way to ensure that we get to spend quality family time annually. My East Coast family celebrates on Thanksgiving. One year, we had three Thanksgiving dinners to accommodate my very ill grandmother and she was so happy. I’m involved with my church and volunteer both locally and when I travel from time to time. I often invite the children in my family to join me for my volunteer work. I find that this has helped them to be little more grateful and open to difference in others.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.
Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
