I was born and raised in Ridgecrest, California. I have one younger brother and my parents are still married. I attended San Diego State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration. After college, I moved to Beijing, China for a year and a half to teach English and travel. When I returned to San Diego, I completed a Master’s Degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. I’ve worked in the field of Human Resources since that time. One job took me to Texas where I lived for a couple of years. I have been back in San Diego for 5 years and this is where I plan to stay.
I had a good childhood and experienced stability and support within my family relationships. My parents are still married and live in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. My grandparents lived nearby growing up and also provided much support to my family. Both my parents worked full time during my childhood. His family would typically eat dinner together at the end of the day and talk. I have many positive memories of growing up and doing fun things with my family, such as going to Disneyland every year, taking trips in our motorhome across the country or to Canada and camping. I had 18 cousins growing up who lived near me who I was close with and spent a lot of time around. I did well in school and had good friends throughout my childhood and adolescence. I played soccer, basketball and took piano lessons.
I'd describe myself as kind, patient, caring and committed to family and friends. I currently live alone with my two dogs, Sheba and Ranger. I work from home as the Head of Global Human Resources Operations and Employee Relations for a publicly traded data driven analytics and insights company. In my spare time, I enjoy being active and outdoors, and like to go fishing, camping, playing sports and running. I also enjoy relaxing by watching TV, going to the movies or reading.
