Dear Birthmother,

First off, we want to recognize the beautiful loving heart you must have to make the incredible sacrifice of sharing your child with us. Thank you doesn't even cover the extreme gift that you are giving, but we do thank you for considering us to be the family that will love and cherish the child you are bringing into the world!

We are Charles and Valerie. We have been together for nearly 15 years and have dreamed of becoming parents. To provide a safe, loving home for your child to thrive and grow and become all they were destined to be. We have prepared for years and have the resources and abilities necessary to provide an incredible life for your child. Our hearts, our home, our friends and family are overflowing with love and support to give your child every opportunity to discover everything life has to offer.

Charles was adopted as an infant as well and holds a special feeling about becoming a father to an adopted child. Valerie has dreamed of being a mommy since she was just a child herself. We can't wait to fulfill our dreams and the dreams of your child.

About Us

We became acquainted through school and church, and our relationship has flourished ever since. We got married in 2020, after building an incredible loving relationship for 10 years prior. We love spending time with friends and family. We do family camping, boating, vacations, attend concerts and sporting events, work on home improvement projects and outdoor activities. We enjoy our downtime together experiencing new restaurants, new foods, new series on tv and creating a warm loving atmosphere in our home for us, friends and family to enjoy.

Charles is a Business Development Manager for a global freight movement corporation. He manages a 3 state sales territory and makes a very good living to provide for our family. His hobbies and interests include home improvement projects, tinkering on classic cars, playing bass guitar in a local worship band, cooking and having in depth discussions on many topics with friends and family.

Valerie is an Elementary Education Specialist, currently working with first grade aged children. She has been in the education field for 17 years working in the largest public school district in our area. Valerie enjoys researching ways to make our home an incredible place to be, investing time with her close friends and family, as well as continually educating herself to be the best mother and educator she can be. Valerie has a heart bigger than life and shares her love abundantly with everyone she knows, especially the children she instructs on a daily basis.

The addition of our adopted child will genuinely be the missing puzzle piece to make our family even more complete. Everyone is excited to make this child a part of our family, invest in his or her life, and experience even more love and joy as the child grows. This child will be as much a part of our family as any other already is.

Our Home

Our 3,000 sq ft. house was built in 1911. It has a ground level first floor with a full basement. The house has had many updates in the last 8 years, including a new roof and windows, refinished hardwood floors, complete repaint of the entire first floor, the addition of a 960 sq ft, 3-car garage, and a very large terrace covering the roof of that garage. Our property sits on a double lot that boasts a very large, fenced yard, as well as natural areas to explore. We have an incredible view to the west and enjoy gorgeous sunsets year round. The house currently has 3 bedrooms/1 bathroom with plans for a second bathroom on the lower level.

Our neighborhood is unique in the fact that our home is situated on 3 dead end streets, one of which terminates at a great public park just 400 feet to the south of us. Behind our home, we have access to a walking/bike trail and numerous ways to experience the outdoors. We have a mix of neighbors that include married couples with children, single mothers, families from the Marshall Islands, friends that are originally from the Middle East, as well as Caucasian families.

Our community offers a vast range of community events to expand cultural knowledge. The public school district our home is located in has 58 schools, 29,000 students and boasts a remarkable 70+ languages.

Our Extended Family

Family! This is truly the heart of our whole life together! The biggest thing that stands out to us concerning our family is food and laughter. Anytime we are together, there is never a shortage of either. Due to this incredible cohesiveness, we believe the life of our adopted child will be enriched in so many ways, from so many people. We live well, and love well!

Charles has two incredible adult daughters (27 and 30) and two beautiful granddaughters (3 and 1). His parents are both deceased. Valerie's family includes her loving, incredible parents, her older brother and his wife, her older sister, her younger brother, and young adult niece and nephew.

As we have entwined our lives together, we spend a great deal of time with all of the people mentioned above other than Charles's brother who lives 2 states away. We enjoy attending many different kinds of events like hockey, baseball, concerts and shows together as a family. We also spend quality time with Charles's daughters and our granddaughters and invest into their lives creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Our Family Traditions

Over the last decade and a half, we have created new traditions, such as annual visits to San Francisco Giants' Spring Training in Arizona, annual family vacations at our lake cabin in Montana, and numerous camping trips with friends and family. It seems that everything we do is centered around investing time with friends and family.

We are blessed to have so many close friends, as well as a large network of other friends in our life. We have so many people in our lives who love us, support us, and invest time in building lasting, meaningful relationships. They will be the strength that will help us be the best parents we can be to our adopted child.

As a couple, we love sharing quality time with friends and family. Whether it is intimate couples' dinners at local restaurants, to spending weekends away with just a few friends, we cherish the moments we get to spend with the people in our lives. We enjoy attending local baseball or hockey games, concerts and shows. We love to share our "toys", like our boat and travel trailer with friends and family. We will spend the day on our local lake, have weekend camping trips or road trips just to get away.

We love watching San Francisco Giants' baseball, NFL Football, and supporting the local college basketball team. We also love to make updates or improvements to our beautiful 1911 home, keeping it true to its heritage with a modern flare.

What Led Us To Adoption

We know that you have many choices to make about the future of the child you are bringing into this world. After years of unsuccessful fertility treatments, the burning desire to be parents is stronger than ever. With Charlie being adopted as an infant, adoption became the best and natural way for us to create our family.

We sincerely believe that we will be incredible, loving parents who want the opportunity to offer a child a loving, stable, healthy home surrounded by friends, family, culture, and spiritual knowledge to help them thrive and have the best life they could ever want. We are committed to loving, guiding, and showing this child how to be the best person they can be. Teaching them to care for and respect themself and others, contribute to society in a way that it is better for them having been there, and leaving a legacy for those who come behind. We humbly ask that you consider us to be the mother and father you want this child to have. With your gift, our dream will come true!
