Dear Birthmother,

Thank you so much for taking the time to check us out. We are extremely happy that you’re even taking the initiative to read our profile. We hope you find our profile valuable and that it exceeds your expectations. My name is Ginger, and my husband’s name is Christopher. We have both been trying to have children for about 7 years now, and it was not successful, which brings us to why we would love to adopt. We can’t wait to love this child.

About Us

My husband, Chris, is a small business owner in plumbing. He is definitely a hard worker. Chris was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, as was I. Chris is Caucasian, with Dutch background from his dad's side and German from his mother's side. He enjoys helping people and has quite the giving heart. Chris enjoys camping, going to the beach, and enjoying family time.

As the adoptive mother, I am a full time homemaker. I used to teach high school special education for 15 years, but as of 2020, I became a stay at home wife. I love being a homemaker. I am half Hispanic from my dad's side and half Hawaiian from my mom's side. I love baking, cooking, loving my husband, spending time with my family and fur-babies. I just love taking care of our little family!

In 2008, my not yet husband at the time, went to the same church as I. I had noticed he had an interest in me, but I was NOT interested in any way. I was stubborn sadly, but in the fall of 2009 (September), I finally let him talk to me (lol). With just one conversation, I knew there was something about us. A week later we had dinner, and we both already knew we were in trouble. Chris asked me to be his wife on Christmas Eve of 2010, and we got married on May 22, 2011. We ended up doing a huge celebration on March 8th, 2012 with all of our friends and family. That was a lot of fun!

My husband and I love spending time together any chance we can get. From time to time, we enjoy taking small road trips, exploring, and going out for our wedding anniversary. We also love to go to food festivals together and spending time with both of our families. I truly love to bake bread in my free time and cooking new food recipes. We enjoy going to church together too. It’s important to my husband and I that we follow our faith.

Our Home

We've lived in our home for 13 years, as long as we have been married. We are in a culturally diverse neighborhood. In fact, our neighbors here have been pretty great. One neighbor of ours is a mechanic and he’s always here to help us if we need any help with our vehicles. Another neighbor across from us has helped us by building a concrete pit for our tortoise. He also built our blocked wall on the side of our house. When we moved, we knew we were in a good neighborhood because everyone around us is a homeowner. There are lots of parks and schools where we live too. We have a nice yard, not too small but not huge either.

Our Extended Family

I am the eldest of six children, and my husband is the eldest of four children. Both of our moms and dads are married and have been for over 40 years now. There are so many nieces and nephews on both sides of our families, as well. When it comes to Chris’ siblings, they all live in the same state as us, Arizona.

Being the oldest of six children, I grew up in a very loud home, but it was also a loving home. When it comes to family traditions, we were very big on being together as a family all the time, especially for holidays. Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter my mom made a special big dinner for the eight of us. As all of us kids got a little older, my sisters and I would help our mom prepare those dinners. Sometimes in the evenings, we would go to my Nana’s house (on my dad's side of the family) to have more food and hang out with the cousins, aunts and uncles.

When Chris was about 5 or 6 years old, he had his first camping trip with his dad. Ever since then, Chris has always loved camping, and it’s what we do
together to this day with family and friends. For Chris’s family, holiday dinners were always a treasured time to cherish. Sunday dinners with the whole family were a time of relaxation and bonding. Family dinners were always a time with aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, grandma and grandpa
to be together eating and fellowshipping. A lot of their family time was also spent at church.

Here is Chris writing more about his family: “Grandma was like my mom, and she practically raised me. I don’t want to take anything away from the role my parents played, but I grew up at grandma's feet. From enjoying home cooked food, watching movies and TV with my grandma, this is what I remember the most. Visiting my grandpa in Nebraska was a sense of freedom from my parents and siblings. I was like an only child who grandpa needed to focus on, and that was something special to me."

Our Family Traditions

Chris and I have many friends. In fact, we go camping in our travel trailer with them every year. We like to get together with them and have dinner, barbecues and hang out sessions. Chris likes to help people. When it comes to hobbies, he’s skilled in fixing all kinds of things. He likes to learn and challenge his brain. For me, I love baking bread, and I love to bake in general. I love to make cakes for family and friends. I do enjoy cooking all kinds of great food recipes. I also enjoy hiking at South Mountain and highly enjoy my daily pilates class!

Every two to three months, we enjoy getting out of town. We like to get past the mundane ways of life. It's a different look bringing a bit of calmness and stillness. Every year, we also like to go out of the city or state for our anniversary trip. This past anniversary trip, we were in Colorado for 9 days, and it was amazing! We like our trips because it's just Chris and I, and one day we would love to share that with a little one.

Chris and I are also really into sports. We love watching football during football season. That's always a fun time in our home. I love to make some yummy foods for football season too. When it comes to the Superbowl, it's a very serious time for my husband. I love it so much.
