Taylor & Justin In Arizona

The two of us are both originally from Florida, where we attended middle school together. During that time, we were not friends, but over the years we kept up with each other through social media and eventually rekindling in September of 2017. Our first official date was the definition of "love at first sight". From that moment, we dated exclusively and conquered a long distance relationship. We ended up getting married in December of 2020, moved to Arizona immediately after to benefit our professions. We have one daughter of our own, Leighton, who was born in May of 2024 through IVF.

Justin was born in Panama and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He moved to the states when he was only two, along with his immediate family. He is a professional baseball player for the Colorado Rockies, so we split a lot of our summers between home and Denver, as well as the other states he travels to for games. Justin has been playing professionally for the same team since 2015, truly living out his childhood dream.

Taylor is a Registered Nurse, who worked in acute care for three years. Last summer she was granted the flexibility to take a step back from working to follow more closely alongside Justin's career and be able to raise our daughter full time, something we are more than blessed for! This has been an amazing transition that keeps our family together year-round so both of us can be present as we continue to grow our family.

Collectively, we have traveled all over the world, for both work and leisure, and will continue to do so for as long as we’re able. In our free time, we love to be outdoors and always looking to try new activities. Despite our on-the-go lifestyle, we love quality time on the couch, playing board games with each other, and cooking new recipes together.

Since being married, we rescued four cats: Henri, Oliver, William, and Bridget. Although they are very independent, we treat them as if they are truly our babies. When the opportunity allows, we take them on road trips and go on walks in the neighborhood. We also created an enclosed outdoor space for their daily leisure.

We currently live in Scottsdale, AZ where we own a 3 bed 2 ½ bath home that includes a loft. Our community is gated and newly developed, filled mainly with families who have young children. There are many walking paths in and around our neighborhood, as well as a community pool and playground. We are in a very residential area with established schools, stores, and public recreation areas all close by. From multiple angles of our home, you can view the McDowell Mountains, which are less than a 15 min drive away.

During our time in Denver, we rent a furnished home that varies from year to year. Each place we have lived in has been near downtown, surrounded by public parks, restaurants, and is close to the baseball field. Now that we have a daughter, we live together year round and will continue to do so as our family grows.

Both sides of our family are actively involved in our lives. They also love one another, which is a dream for most people when it comes to combining families. The majority of our family lives in Jacksonville, Florida, where we both grew up. We do our very best to visit with each of our families throughout the year, as well as them coming out to spend time with us.

Justin has one older sister and one younger brother. Taylor has two younger brothers. We both value how important it is to grow up with siblings and being there for one another throughout the changes of our lives. There is currently two grandchildren on Justin's side of the family, and one grandchild on Taylor's. Everyone stays anxious for us to expand and give them more babies to love on and cherish. Justin additionally has some extended family still living in Panama, who we keep a close connection with. Having a secure relationship with our families is one of the most important aspects of our lives.

Alongside our families, we have so many friends who are like family. Our friendships from back in Florida are unwavered. Our friends are constantly making time to spend with us and never hesitate to step in when Justin's baseball schedule keeps him away from home. We are also surrounded by people throughout the baseball community who are always there when needed and nearby in both Arizona and Colorado. There is never a doubt on who we can rely on, as well as be respectable role models for our children to grow up around.

Whether we are local or afar, we love to go hiking and biking together, try new restaurants, and go to sporting events as well as concerts any chance we get. We have not missed a beat since having our daughter. She has been the best little adventure partner, tagging alongside all our endeavors in her short little life thus far. We hope to continue giving our family ample opportunity to learn and grow through experiences and find what excites them.

Travel is a huge part of our lives. Countries we've visited: Mexico, Panama, Taiwan, Guatemala, Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Honduras, Belize, Grand Cayman, Ireland, United Kingdom, Spain, and France. We have also been to 31 states in the US.

Taylor loves to go on walks with our daughter, have a girl's night, and read romance novels in her free time. She has a passion for serving others as she has taken multiple mission trips to third world countries, igniting her purpose to adopt one day. She also loves to binge watch a good TV show and always catching up with long distance friends and family.

Aside from baseball, Justin has a passion for cooking. He grew up learning how to cook from his mom and is now considered the chef of our family. He enjoys making meals from scratch on a regular basis and showing his love to people through food. He also enjoys golfing, watching all sports, playing video games, fishing, and boating.

While dating and planning our future together, we always had adoption on our hearts. We both love kids and have collectively spent a lot of time around children throughout our lives from babysitting, mission trips, working in the hospital, and coaching youth athletes. It was always our dream to have a big and blended family!
