We live in a suburb of Pennsylvania about 20 minutes from Philadelphia in a single-family house. Our home has three bedrooms and a full bathroom on the upper level. When you come in the front door you enter into the dining room/ living room with the steps that lead up to the top floor. Through the dining room is the kitchen with a door to the basement. Also, through the dining room is the den. The den is where we spend the majority of the time. There is also a half bath in the den as well. There is a door in the kitchen that leads out to the backyard and the deck. Our house is on a corner lot so we have a huge fenced in double lot backyard. It’s the perfect yard that a child’s swing set or playground would look great in. There’s so much room for activities and lots of toys.
Our neighborhood is a nice, quiet and delightful tree-lined street in a very desirable neighborhood. Our neighborhood has a diversity of people who live all up and down the block. There is much diversity when it comes to the ethnicity of the neighborhood as well. There is an abundance of children in the neighborhood as well. One of the bus stops is right across the street from our house.
The school system in our neighborhood is considered one of the best in the township. There are three schools starting with grades K-4, middle school grades 7-8, and high school grades 9-12. All of these schools are less than two miles from our house.
Down the street from our house is a park. This park has very nice greenery and a little creek that goes to the bigger stream that is way down the road. It’s a lovely area to have a picnic or just go to read a nice book. A few blocks away there is a large park with tennis courts, a soccer field, a skate park and a playground for kids of all ages. Every time we pass the park it is full of kids running and playing. It’s in walking distance which is a nice bonus especially on nice cool spring days.
In our neighborhood there is a number of cultural opportunities such as different festivals throughout the seasons and holidays. We don’t live too far from a movie theater that shows film screenings, and we are always up for an adventure to travel to anywhere for a new festival or exhibit.
Our future nursery will be in the second bedroom upstairs next to the master bedroom when the baby is old enough to transition to the nursery. The future nursery has gray carpet and light gray walls. There are two closets in the room with a window between them. We are going to have a Winnie the Pooh themed nursery. We have artwork for the walls as well as a large wooden Winnie the Pooh to hang up. The future nursery will be very warm and soothing for the baby. We will have a crib, rocking chair to rock the baby to sleep, a dresser for all of their adorable baby clothes and a changing table. The nursery will be nothing if not extraordinary and welcoming as the little one grows up. We only want the best for our future child and we feel that having a nursey that fits all the needs of a growing child is just what we can provide. If we are lucky enough to be chosen April has a very special stuffed donkey that she had growing up that she plans on giving to our future child.
