Seth & Christina In Minnesota

We both grew up on farms about 30 minutes apart from each other, but we did not meet until 2016 when mutual friends introduced us. We quickly found that our goals, morals, values, friends and family meshed perfectly. We got engaged in 2017 while on a trip to New Zealand and married in September of 2018.

We both work at a hospital about 15 miles north of our home. Seth is a Plumber/Pipefitter Journeyman and Foremen, and Christina is a patient safety and process improvement analyst for the department of Radiology. We are both incredibly lucky to be in careers that allow flexibility for us to be able to put our family first.

We have a large, very tight-knit family so we frequently get together to celebrate all the birthdays, holidays and any occasion we can think of to gather. Our families have become very close as well. Our parents often visit each other and we're pretty sure Christina’s dad calls Seth’s brother or dad almost daily. Seth’s mom also likes to go horseback riding with Christina’s sister and niece.

We love music, movies, board games, playing and attending sporting events, as well as traveling around to experience new food and activities. In the last couple of years, we have spent a lot of our free time at Seth’s family cabin in Wisconsin on the weekends where we love to swim, paddleboard, fish and do all lake activities.

We live in a small town, and our house is located near the elementary school just outside of the city that we work in. We love our safe, quiet neighborhood which is a nice midpoint between our families and work. We chose this community primarily because of the great schools and opportunities that it has to offer.

Our home has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which includes a nursery that we have started in the bedroom next to ours. We have amazing neighbors, including one of our brothers and his family who only lives a few doors down. Our neighborhood has two parks that are beautiful short walks, which our nieces and nephews love. We have a fenced in yard with large patio area where we like to host friends and family for BBQ's.

We are very fortunate to have such a large support system that is always there for each other. Whether it's simply advice or helping with a home project, our friends and family are always willing to lend a hand. We are extremely blessed to have such an amazing network of support around us.

Christina has 3 sisters and 2 brothers, and Seth has 1 sister and 1 brother. Combined we have 11 nephews and 5 nieces. It can be rather loud at our family gatherings with all the kids running around and playing, but there is always a lot of food, laughs and love. We just celebrated Christina's parents 47th wedding anniversary with all 26 of their kids, grandkids and great grandkids!

We are honored to be the first babysitters that our family and friends call when they need a date night or a vacation. We have learned so much about parenting from infants all the way to teenagers. We just love watching them grow into beautiful people with a wide array of talents.

We feel very fortunate to have our country roots and can't wait for our child to experience the farm life. Every summer, our nephews who live in SE Wisconsin come to stay with their grandparents for a few weeks on the farm and they look forward to it all year.

We love to travel and experience different foods, cultures and just meet new people. We like to hike, bike, swim, paddleboard, fish, go to concerts, play sports and board games. During the summer, we spend a lot of time at Seth's family cabin swimming, boating, tubing, paddleboarding, and any and all sports or activities. This year we are looking forward to setting up a volleyball court.

Seth enjoys going golfing and hunting with his friends. Christina loves to read, paint and do crafts. We love getting together with our friends to have BBQ's, game nights and spend time out on the lake. Seth is typically the one running the grill or the smoker, and Christina loves to cook and bake.

We have been excited to start our family since the day we got married over 5 years ago. Our conversations prior to marriage and throughout our journey to create a family have always included adoption. We feel this is exactly where we are meant to be and beyond ready to become parents.
