My name is Travis and as you probably know by now, I am a bit different from many of the standard adoptive parents. I am a straight, single guy with one adopted son who is looking to add another baby to our family. More than likely, you are asking why I would want to adopt a child (much less two) instead of waiting to have children with a woman somewhere down the line. The honest answer is that I am not sure I will ever meet that woman, but being a father to my son, Beckham has been the biggest joy of my life. As Beckham has gotten older, he has wanted a sibling more and more and I am now at a point in my career where money is not a problem and my schedule is super flexible.
I got my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and work in the healthcare industry. When many people were struggling to make ends meet because of COVID, I was fortunate that I got busier and was able to make an even better living for us. I have a home that we completely gutted and remodeled and it is FAR bigger than what Beckham and I need on our own.
More than anything, family and specifically my son are the driving forces in my life. I come from a large family and after graduating I moved back to my small hometown to be closer to them. It has been the best decision I have ever made and Beckham has many cousins to play with and this new baby will definitely have the same!
I am laid back and am an overall happy person. I am a major homebody, preferring to be at home with Beckham watching movies, reading, or playing with him in our HUGE yard. A typical weekend could include going to the movies or just spending time around town, visiting with family and friends. Being a Christian is also a big part of who I am.
Our favorite hobby as a family is traveling and I look forward to showing all my children the world. Our most recent trip as a family was to Italy and Beckham had a spectacular time, including making pasta by hand! My mom usually joins us on those vacations and Beckham would not have it any other way. Our next adventure is definitely in the works and we cannot wait to include our newest addition.
In closing, I would also like you to know that regardless of what lies in the future, if you were to pick us as your adoptive family, I can assure you that this child and their well-being will be my first and most important focus. I will also ensure that he/she always knows that you love them and made this choice for them.
Again, I thank you for taking the time to look through this book and getting to know me. I would love to be chosen to give your child a loving and happy home.

Once upon a time... There was a single guy named Travis. He was a social worker who was a very happy person that tried to love everyone. Travis was born and raised in a small town in Texas and was lucky enough to have a great, loving family his entire life.
Travis' parents owned their own businesses, but he set out on his own to build something for himself rather than rely on that. He was able to build a very comfortable life for himself and often traveled the world, which helped him understand and appreciate people different than those around him.
Even though Travis was a super happy guy, he wanted more out of life and so he adopted Beckham. Beckham brought him more happiness than he ever dared to hope and he focused everything on making sure he had everything he could ever hope for.
As Beckham got older, he and Travis began talking about adding another baby to their family. Beckham was SO excited when the decision was finally made and they started looking for his new brother or sister. In fact, he was SO excited that he offered to change all the diapers and get up with the baby at night, though Travis knew Beckham was kidding himself.
Travis and Beckham live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a giant yard that will no doubt one day have a swingset (like Beckham had at their previous home) for the new addition to play on. There's also a soccer goal at home and a basketball goal at MeMe's house right down the road.
My Extended Family
More than anything, family and specifically Beckham are the driving forces in Travis' life. He comes from a large family and after graduating moved back to his small hometown to be closer to them. It has been the best decision he has ever made and Beckham has many cousins to play with and this new baby will definitely have the same!
From my mom:
"Hello, I'm Sharon, Travis' mother. Ever since Travis was a little boy, he has been kind-hearted and sensitive and has always wanted to make a difference in the world. He has not changed. As he got older, he often talked about wanting to get married and have children, including adopting at least one child. Travis has dated a few girls, but nothing ever worked out. Even so his drive to be a father has always been there. He is the type of person that has a lot of love in his heart and is very willing to share that love with others. He is such a good father with his son. He is loving, but also firm when he needs to be and is very involved with Beckham. He gives him all the attention he needs in a loving manner.
While he is at work, I will be one of the ones who babysits this baby just like I babysit my Beckham. I love my grandchildren and they are very important to me and I love to spoil them, like all grandmas do! I worried the first time Travis adopted that I would feel differently about Beckham because our family did not have much experience with adoption before Beckham. In fact, the opposite happened. Beckham and I are incredibly close and I could not love him more. In fact, I am probably closest to him of all of my grandchildren. Family is very important to us and we get together very often, be it for birthdays, holidays, or for no reason at all! This child, like Beckham, will have a lot of family love and also a lot of kids to play with. I feel all of this is very important.
It would mean so much to us if you would consider Travis, Beckham, and all of us to be a part of your child's life. We would make a great family for your child and would be able to give your child all the things it would need in life...especially LOVE!"
My Family Traditions
In their spare time, Travis and Beckham travel all over the United States and the world seeing people and things some people only dream of seeing. They also have a membership with Disney Vacation Club and go to Disney World at least once every two years with groups of friends and family. This last time they even took Beckham's best friend!
Their most recent trip as a family was to Italy and Beckham had a spectacular time, including making pasta by hand! Travis' mom usually joins them on those vacations and Beckham would not have it any other way. Their next adventure is definitely in the works and they cannot wait to include their newest addition.
What Led Me To Adoption
I adopted my son as a single parent back in 2010 and it was the best decision I ever made. I want my son to have a sibling and he is SO excited about the possibility. I’m now at the best point of my life financially and career wise so I am able to do it where years back it would’ve been more of a struggle. I am still single, but regardless would not want to have a biological child because it would make my son be different and would never want him to feel less than, because he NEVER is. He’s the most important person in my life.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.
Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
