Dear Birthmother,

First and foremost, thank you for choosing life for the baby you are carrying! You are a hero! Secondly, thank you for taking a moment to hear our story, so we can tell you why we already love our future child.

So, let's start from the beginning...once upon a time, in Bagley, Minnesota, a princess found her prince and they lived happily ever after. Okay, well almost. Our names are Andy and Sabrina and we have been very happily married since 2007. We have a 9-year-old daughter named Ava. Andy's mom, Grandma Kathy, lives with us and we have two dogs, two cats and laying hens.

As I am sure you have seen with other hopeful adoptive parents, we have struggled with infertility. God has opened our hearts to adoption and we are grateful you took the time to get to know us a little. We look forward to meeting our future baby and raising him or her in a loving, peaceful home full of joy!

About Us

Soon after we were married, we knew that we wanted to start a family, but God had other plans. After struggling for years with infertility and all of the treatments to help, we were able to conceive our daughter, Ava in 2011 through insemination. Ever since then, we have been unsuccessful in trying to conceive again on our own and with fertility treatments. After many prayers, tears and waiting every month for a pregnancy, God showed us the path to adoption. If we are being honest, Sabrina struggled with the idea of adoption until God opened her heart by breaking it. She fell in love, head over heels, for a baby who we thought would become ours. Long story short, that wasn't the case. We knew then that adoption was what we wanted and needed.

This is how we know we will love the baby you are carrying as much as we love each
other and our daughter. We pray for this baby every day and love him or her already! We promise to tell them how brave you are and how much courage and love it took for you to choose adoption. We also want you to know Ava is overjoyed to be a big sister! She's been asking for a sibling since she was able to speak.

Ava is in third grade and goes to the same school where Andy works as a Behavior Interventionist. Sabrina has a home office and works as a Community Living Specialist helping the elderly. To give you a glimpse of our home life, we live in a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with 2 living areas on 12 acres to explore. Grandma Kathy, who also works at the school with Andy, lives with us as well.

Our home is Andy's family home where he grew up! We try to host family gatherings year round including holidays, birthdays and campfire cookouts. We love to be outdoors fishing, camping, making snowmen and sledding. We also love swimming at the beach in the summertime or warming up in the hot tub in the wintertime.

Our Home

We live in a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with 2 living areas on 12 acres. We are only 3 miles out of town, so it feels like the country, yet close enough to make a quick trip. We have a large yard and plenty of trees to make a fort! We love our neighbors and have known them for years. There are 2 school districts to choose from and both are very good. Our county is diverse with white, Native American and African American races. We have a city park that includes playground equipment, a baseball field, camping and a swimming beach.

Our Extended Family

Sabrina grew up with a big extended family, celebrating Christmas and most Sundays with 5-10 cousins and several aunts and uncles at her grandma's house. Both of her grandparents lived only 5-10 miles away and she spent most summers there with her 2 younger sisters. Andy's extended family live on the West Coast, so he spent holidays with his parents and siblings. He has 2 older sisters and a younger brother. Andy's mom, Grandma Kathy, lives with us and works at the same school he works at and Ava attends.

We now rotate holidays between our home and our siblings' homes, but wherever we are it's filled with fun, laughter and noise! It seems like an endless celebration from Thanksgiving through New Years with endless food!

Our Family Traditions

Since Andy grew up in Bagley, we have many friends in the area. On summer weekends, we can be found camping, on the pontoon fishing and swimming, or sitting around a bonfire in our backyard.

Andy loves deer hunting in the fall, while Sabrina prefers cooking for the hunters. We both love summer and winter fishing, camping and working together on any carpentry/ home projects that come up. We recently remodeled our home and added on. Andy has a small carpentry business in the summer and was able to do it all!

As far as travel goes, we both enjoy the ocean and scenery, as well as history! Sabrina loves beachcombing and could do it all day, everyday. We both enjoy learning about the history of towns we visit.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have so much room in our hearts to give a child in need of a loving and stable home, combined with the inability to conceive our own additional child has led us to adoption. We feel like God is calling us to adoption through the above reasons. Andrew has always wanted to adopt and Sabrina has now also been called to adopt. We have an intense desire and an extreme amount of faith that this is what God is calling us to do right now.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.

Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
