Thank you for making the extremely difficult decision to start your search for an adoptive family for your child. I have so much love to give and I am excited to continue to build my family through adoption. I have always said that I was going to start my family through adoption. I grew up in the Midwest and had an amazing childhood and upbringing, part of which included being brought up with my sister, who is adopted from South Korea. My parents were always very transparent with us about their adoption journey and how it changed all of our lives for the better. I couldn't agree more.
Adopting my son, Anderson, was the best blessing I could have asked for. He has helped not only solidify the idea that I am meant to be a mother, but also, that adoption is just such a gift and is the right path for my family.

I grew up with no defined limits of what a family can be, what makes a family strong or how that family is created. I know that the most important thing in life is a strong support system, foundation of love and a family where the parent or parents are ready, stable and eager to have their life and schedule be built around their children.
Since adopting my son, my primary focus is on being a mom, but also on being a stable and consistent provider. I am so thankful for my unmatched support system and my career for allowing me to maintain those priorities. It is a dream come true and my family, friends and overall support system are as eager as I am to welcome a new member to our family.
I am currently a helicopter pilot in the United States Navy and have served for over eight years. I have been able to build a fantastic life and have enjoyed my career. I am currently an instructor and have a consistent working schedule with flexibility that has been able to accommodate my needs as a mother. I am always home for sick days, doctor's appointments, long days of teething, etc. My job is one that I love and that I am able to do well and advance in, yet, it has also provided me the balance that I need and that my family needs.
My son and I just moved to the San Diego suburb of El Cajon. We moved so we would have more space to grow our family and to have more space to host as our family and friends visit. We have a three bedroom home with an enclosed backyard, a playroom and quick access to parks and bike path for our walks each day!
My Extended Family
I grew up in one of the best and most loving households I can imagine. My parents had a difficult having biological children and adopted my sister two years before I was born. Partially because of their positive experience, they have always encouraged and supported my adoption plan since the beginning.
My parents are still my rocks and have totally embraced being grandparents. Their pride and joy is undeniable! My dad is a strong and stable provider who has taught me many things, one of which is how to be financially independent. He is always the voice of reason and is my biggest supporter. My mom has always had a passion for raising and teaching children, as a special needs teacher, and has one of the best hearts of anyone I know. She's very dedicated and knowledgeable and and has been a fantastic and involved grandmother to Anderson.
My sister moved to San Diego when Anderson was only four months old because she wanted to be closer to us and wanted to have a strong relationship as an Aunt. It makes my heart so happy to see how she and her fiancée love spending time with us and with him. I look forward to the day when we have another child to share this love we have to give and also enjoy this life with us!
My Family Traditions
As a family, we enjoy anything and everything outside. We love to go to the beach, parks, walk on the bike trails, go on hikes, to the pool and we love that we have a play area in the back yard. There are plenty of options! We also love to take short trips to see some of our favorite people and to stop and see all of the sights along the way. Anderson also loves to dance in the car and needs a buddy back there! We also enjoy attending sporting events like baseball, football and hockey, local attractions like the zoo, aquarium, etc. and special events like Monster Jam and Disney on Ice, to name a few.
I have a fantastic group of friends, all in different walks of life, but all who respect and know my plans for continuing to build my family. Several of my friends and close family have young children themselves, and we have a blast together planning play dates and events to go to with the kiddos.
What Led Me To Adoption
I was initially led to adoption from my family’s own adoption experience. My sister was adopted as an infant and she, and my entire family all continuously have great things to say about the process and about what the adoption experience has brought in to our lives. Adopting my son, Anderson, was the best blessing I could have asked for. He has helped not only solidify the idea that I am meant to be a mother, but also, that adoption is just such a gift and is the right path for my family.
I promise you that I will provide my children with a consistent, stable and loving environment in which to grow in. I will always share my passion and drive for life and motherhood with them. I will surround them with the love and support of family and friends. Most importantly, they will be loved beyond measure.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.
Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
