Dear Birthmother,

"Life doesn’t always lead us where we thought it might. We are grateful that our path has crossed with yours and would love the chance to learn about you and share a little bit about who we are. Our names are Clint and Kari and we truly admire your courage to consider finding a loving family and hope you’ll consider us as adoptive parents. We both have a very strong desire to give a child all the love, stability, and encouragement we have to offer."

About Us

“We are a fun-loving couple who are young at heart and believe in dedicating time to achieving our goals, while balancing work with enjoying life.”
Kari and her brother were both adopted into the same family and feel fortunate to have been raised together. She would love to give a child (or siblings) the sense of stability, comfort, love and support that her parents gave her. Growing up on the West Coast she was raised with responsibilities, solid values and a strong work ethic. She has been an aunt to many of her close friends’ children over the years and formed special bonds with each of them. It would be a dream come true to experience motherhood.

Clint grew up in the Midwest and moved to the West Coast shortly after graduating college. Kari and he were introduced by a mutual friend several years ago, and after a few years of friendship, one of their other friends decided to play matchmaker. They hit it off on a date and 3 years later were married. They decided to move to the Midwest to be closer to Clint's large extended family and are very happy with their decision to relocate. A couple of years ago they bought a two-story house, which is shared with their cats, Raphael and Cali. Clint shares many of Kari’s values and the two hope to instill strong values in a child and show them that not only is education in a classroom valuable, so too is learning about and experiencing the world around them and the many people in it.

Our Home

“Our backyard has a raised deck for outdoor cooking and socializing. The yard below has lots of grass to run around in and a play area with a slide and swings. We also built a small garden to grow a variety of vegetables in the summer time. It’s encouraging to see our efforts produce results!

Our master bedroom is divided into two spaces that flow into each other. With our bedroom set up on one side, there is a great space to set up a nursery just a few feet away with two other bedrooms on the same floor that can be used in the future. The basement is carpeted and spacious with playful, imaginative art added by the previous home owners."

Our Extended Family

Family is extremely important to both Clint and Kari. Clint’s large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as his parents, live close by and they enjoy spending a lot of time together. They have always been very welcoming and the true definition of one big, happy family. Clint has a younger sister. She and her husband have two young daughters, who are also Clint and Kari’s Goddaughters.

While Kari’s parents and brother still live on the West Coast, they catch up with one other frequently by text, phone, email and visits, as often as possible. Her older brother and his wife have two young children, a daughter and a son, who are the light of their lives and keep them on their toes. Some of Kari’s family is also on the East Coast. This gives her and Clint a great reason to travel!

Our Family Traditions

Clint’s family has always had traditions around the holidays and family gatherings are common throughout the year, especially during Christmas and Thanksgiving. Each holiday is hosted at a different family member’s house and all who attend bring side dishes or desserts (growing up he secretly believed that the family planned their meals around the desserts everyone liked to bring). Most recently, his dad’s side of the family has begun gathering at a community center for Christmas because the family has grown so much!

Kari has always loved holiday seasons, too. She looks forward to continuing some of her favorite traditions, like getting a new pair of pajamas on Christmas Eve, putting out milk & cookies for Santa, or fixing a traditional Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings. She has fond memories of decorating her parents’ tree and home, and baking cookies to decorate as a child. The holidays were typically spent at home and/or at other family member's homes enjoying food, gift exchanges and good times. She hopes to someday share all the magic and wonder of the holiday seasons with a child.

What Led Us To Adoption

“Our backgrounds and beliefs led us to wait until we were married to start a family. By the time we started trying to grow our family, time was not on our side and we struggled with infertility. Once we realized treatment wasn’t our best option, adoption was a natural choice. We are hoping to welcome a child with open, loving arms.”

“As an adoptee myself, I have experienced firsthand what a blessing it can be.”- Kari

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.

Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
