Dear Birthmother,

We are humbled by your courage and strength in taking this step to choose adoption for your baby. As you face this most difficult decision, please know that you are being prayed for and are so loved by two strangers who would be so blessed to meet you and your little one. We would be honored to be a part of this journey with you – through the tears and the joys.

Our names are Kaden and Justine and we have been happily married for 3 years. Adoption has been a part of our conversation/dreams since before we got married. After having two beautiful children biologically, one girl and one boy, we have decided that we would love to complete our family through adoption. Our children have brought such a great joy to our lives, and we cannot wait to expand the love in our hearts to a much awaited addition to our family.

About Us

Our names are Kaden and Justine and we live in Justine’s hometown of St. George, Utah. Kaden grew up in Moab, Utah, which has a similar landscape and small-town lifestyle to St. George. We met each other 4 years ago through mutual friends and have been happily married the last 3 years! We always knew we wanted a big family and wasted no time in starting ours.

We have two beautiful children, Scottlynn “Scottie”, who is 2 years old and a newborn baby boy, Slater. Scottie is the silliest girl and loves to make the whole room laugh with her goofy personality and dance moves. She enjoys coloring, spending time with her cousins who conveniently live 3 blocks away and attending her weekly gymnastics class – or “sticks” class, as she calls it. Slater is just like his Daddy and is the most laid-back baby ever! He has been such a fun addition to our family and we’ve loved watching his little personality develop and grow. Our kids are the light of our lives and we know they will make the best siblings to another child.

Our favorite thing is to be together. Together we enjoy days at the lake with our jet skis and paddleboards, off-roading, exploring the nearby National Parks, sports and spending time with our families.

Kaden joined the Utah Army National Guard one month after we got married and currently works full time with them. We feel so blessed to be a military family that has stability and a permanent residence in the state of Utah. No moving across the country/world for us! Kaden is also pursuing a degree in Aviation at Southern Utah University. Justine has a degree in Human Resources Management and works in Human Resources remotely for a solar company.

Our Home

A year ago, we purchased a 4 bed, 3 bath home on a half-acre of land. It is approximately 30 years old and most definitely a “fixer-upper”. We have put in long and laborious hours in the last year to make it our dream home for our family. We are currently in the process of redoing our yard and landscaping. Kaden is out there every weekend on our tractor putting in the time and effort to make our dreams come true. Eventually, we envision a large grass space, small garden, swing set, trampoline and shed for storage.

Our Extended Family

Both Kaden and Justine come from very tight, close-knit families and were both raised that family comes first – always! Kaden has one sister and Justine has one brother. We consider our siblings our closest friends and are so lucky to see them regularly.

Kaden’s sister and her family live just 3 blocks away. All our kids are under the age of 5 which means TONS of built-in best friends. Justine’s brother is attending Utah Valley University, which is about 3 hours away. Justine’s brother, John, visits every month and is the epitome of the “fun uncle”.

Grammy and Pop-Pop (Kaden’s parents) live 10 minutes away and truly cannot go more than a week without seeing their favorite kiddos. We don’t know where we would be without their love and support. They love to take the kids swimming, attend their activities/recitals and host movie nights. They have hearts of gold and never-ending amounts of love to give.

Nana and Papa (Justine’s parents) live 15 minutes away and are always willing to jump in and help at the drop of a hat. From watching the kids when Kaden and I have other obligations, to nursing us back to health or providing a homecooked meal when we’re sick, they are one of our greatest gifts!

Our Family Traditions

Family is everything to us! We love the phase of life we're in currently and starting to create our own little family traditions, as well as continuing ones we were raised with. A few of our favorite traditions are around Easter, the 4th of July and Christmas!

Easter is a BIG deal in our household. Every Easter we gather with Kaden's family and spend the weekend off-roading. In the morning, we do a huge Easter egg hunt for the kids and then spend hours exploring different trails, playing in the river and having a picnic. We are all so dirty with the craziest hair by the end of the day and couldn't be any happier!

The 4th of July is our favorite holiday and we love having both Kaden and Justine's family over to our house for a water day outside with blow-up bounce houses, slip-n-slides, water balloons and cornhole. We spend all day playing and then wrap up the evening with a BBQ. When it starts to get dark, we head out to our favorite lookout spot and watch all the fireworks in the area.

Christmas Eve never fails to be the highlight of the holiday season! Every Christmas Eve, we have dinner at Justine's parent's house where her dad makes homemade pizzas and then head over to Kaden's parent's house to listen to Kaden's dad read a book about Jesus Christ and watch the Polar Express movie. The kids make beds on the living room floor out of pillows and blankets, cuddle up together with popcorn and even have their own "tickets" to ride on the Polar Express train.

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption is something we’ve dreamed about since we met. We’re so thankful to have been blessed with two biological children and cannot wait to open our hearts and home to another child. We are prayerfully and patiently waiting while trusting in the Lord’s plan for our family!
