First off, I would like to thank you for looking at my profile and considering me as part of your adoption plan. My name is Jordan. I am a single, gay male living in Bellingham, Washington. I am originally from Vancouver, Canada. I have always had a desire to be a father and have always wanted a family. Unfortunately, I have not yet found a life partner to create a family unit with. At this time, I have decided to proceed with creating my own family through the adoption process. I believe this could be an amazing gift for both of us.

I have 7 brothers and sisters and have grown up in the Pacific Northwest my entire life. I am originally from Vancouver, Canada and have called Washington state my home for the last 20 years. Since I was born in Canada, my child will get dual citizenship in the US, as well as in Canada. I am a business owner and run a successful construction company here in town. I am heavily involved in my community through non profits and events in town and love the giving back part of the community work I do.
I love being in the outdoors and am a water child. I am in the water any chance I get; boating, sailing or participating in water sports. I try to stay pretty active in my day-to-day life. I also love to travel around the world and explore other cultures and countries. I enjoy going to theme parks, like Disneyland. My siblings either live in town near me or in Canada, Texas or Hawaii, so I usually try to visit them once every couple of years. I love having my friends over gathering at my house to do dinners and game nights. I really like making things with my hands, whether it be in pottery or in the construction trade, as I love to see what comes to life with just an idea.
Three of my nieces and nephews live in my home town and I am very active in their lives. I am lucky to see them multiple times a week. They are so excited to welcome a new baby cousin into the family and keep asking when they can visit and babysit.
The beautiful Pacific Northwest is where I call home. I am originally from Vancouver, Canada, but now live in Bellingham, Washington. I own and operate a small, but growing construction company here in Whatcom County. When baby comes home, my Aunt Cheryl has agreed to come live with me and become my full-time, live-in nanny, so that my child will be with family at all times. She is a mother of 4 kids and has been a stay-at-home mom for over 35 years. I am very blessed to have her, my mother and my sister to help me when I need help with babysitting, etc.
I truly enjoy giving back to my community and do so whenever I am able. I have been involved with the Historic Fairhaven Association for the past 12 years. We host two main fundraising events throughout the year, which help bring tourism to the area and keep the city clean. I started on the board of this association and became the chair 6 years ago. I have also become more involved in other charity events, like the Hospice House Annual Gala and the Boys and Girls Club Annual Gala. I also sat as the chair of the Sean Humphrey House Gala for 3 years. This charity helps HIV positive people with drug addiction or mental illness be correctly cared for and monitored.
My Extended Family
I come from a large family of 7 brothers and sisters and 11 nieces and nephews. I also have cousins who I grew up with and are like siblings to me. Many of them have small children, as well. A new baby would be surrounded by so much love and plenty of cousins to grow up with.
We believe that family is always there to help out as much as they can. This is especially true when it comes to child care. We believe it is important the kids are taken care of by family, as opposed to day care. Our family has always had an open-door policy when it comes to babysitting.
My Family Traditions
Since we are such a large family, we have many family traditions that we try to hold on to every year. Being originally from Canada we celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving every year. We have dinner for about 35 to 40 people, which is just my immediate family! The Christmas holiday is another very busy time, as we all get together and try to make sure we see each other. On Christmas day, we do a large dinner with all our immediate family. We also try to have a family dinner once every couple of weeks to just catch up and see what is new with one another.
What Led Me To Adoption
I have wanted to have a child for many years. I was waiting to find the right partner, but as time has gone on I am ready to pursue adoption with the love and support of my family. I am emotionally and financially ready to bring a child into my life and have researched all my options. Adoption is the best fit for me and my life at this time.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.
Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
