My name is Jessica and I live in sunny Southern California. I've always loved caring for and nurturing children. I had an amazing childhood, as I was raised by 2 parents who showed me a great example of how to love and treat people. Unfortunately, I have not been lucky in love and now that I'm getting older, I've found that it's more important to be happy with where I am in life now.
I live life in the present and enjoy my family and friends. I am successful in my career and have a strong support system. I know I would make a great mother and provide a child with loads of love and affection, as well as opportunity to really succeed in life. I am truly inspired by your strength and the sacrifice you are making. I look forward to getting to know you.

My childhood is filled with wonderful memories. I'm an only child raised by two incredible human beings with a loving extended family. My parents and I went on family vacations every year while I was growing up and continue to go on nice trips at least once a year. Our latest trip was to Italy and the Mediterranean in October!
My parents taught me to care about others by trying to put myself in their shoes. This fostered in me a great sense of empathy and led me to the field of Social Work. I work for child protective services in the largest county in the country helping to protect the most vulnerable children, but also trying to help parents heal from the trauma they may have experienced as children themselves. I love what I do and I feel that I'm really good at it. It's difficult work, but can be very fulfilling when I see children and families succeed.
I have a few close girl friends that I've known since elementary, junior high and high school. We try to get together a couple of times a month. These women are so loving and supportive and we share a sisterhood. I make friends easily, so I have several other close friends that are as close as siblings to me and all from different walks of life.
I live in a very spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo. I have a balcony that looks out over the complex and has a great view of the city and, on a good day, the Pacific Ocean. The neighborhood is very safe, quiet and diverse. My neighborhood is made up of mixed income housing. My next door neighbors are a young couple about my age who just had their first child this past summer. The condo complex is mixed with young people, families and retirees.
There are excellent schools nearby, including magnet schools. Academics have always been important to my family and me. I'm hoping we will be able to get my child into one of the schools with a strong focus on college readiness.
There is a park across the street from my home that has a play area and offers seasonal activities, including summer concerts. The aquarium is a short drive away and Long Beach has many parks that offer concerts, movies and puppet shows during the summer. Also, the beach is only 10 minutes away and has a beautiful walking and biking path.
My Extended Family
My family is everything to me. I have a very large extended family. Both my parents have 2 sisters and my mom has a brother. My cousins and I are more like sisters. We had so much fun sleeping over at each other's houses and being silly. Every last Saturday in June, my dad's side of the family has a family reunion. My grandmother is one of 8 children so my father has 40 cousins. It's quite a large event and always a good time. Every year, there's a new baby added to the family!
My Family Traditions
I could not have asked for better parents! They read to me as a young child and spoke to me with respect. They taught me about consequences rather than punishment. I’m very close to both my parents, probably because I’m an only child. We usually have dinner together every Sunday. Though I usually see them more often and talk to them a couple of times a week. My parents bought a time-share when I was in junior high and we started going on nice vacations every year. We’re looking forward to continuing family vacations and inspiring a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around us with a special little one!
What Led Me To Adoption
I've always loved to care for children and always thought I would be a mother someday. I haven't had the best luck in love, so I decided to build my family through adoption. I am now financially and emotionally ready to bring a child into my home.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.
Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
