Dear Birthmother,

What is Unconditional Love? It is affection without any limitations and love without conditions. What is Courage? It is the strength in the face of pain or grief. We thank you for the unconditional love and courage you are bestowing upon your child, as there is no greater gift you could give them.

We share with you our desire to welcome and unconditionally love your child as much as we know you do. Promising you the honor of loving, nurturing, raising and protecting your child until the day we leave this earth. We began dating a year before we became engaged and discussed marriage, careers, goals, children and adoption. We both expressed a desire to adopt when the time was right. In fact, Geoff's mother is adopted.

In our hearts, no one child is better than another, based upon circumstances, demographics, race or gender. A child is a child and we welcome whatever child God presents us with open hearts and arms. We hope you will take the time to review our profile to assure you your child will be loved, cared for and raised in the manner in which you want for them.

About Us

Jennifer grew up in the mountains and moved to a beach community through her high school years. She has enjoyed athletics her entire life. She has also traveled to many places around the world and started traveling in her 20's, often alone. She has been able to visit many, but not all of her "bucket list" destinations. After a high-risk pregnancy with their son, for which she was bedridden and induced prematurely due to medical concerns, it was recommended she not attempt to have any more biological children. This only solidified her existing desire to adopt. Her heart has been compelled since her teens to adopt a child(s) and provide a loving and happy life for a child in need.

Geoff was born and raised on the East Coast, in a suburb outside of Philadelphia. In his senior year of high school, he was offered a full scholarship to play Division I Football at Northeastern University in Boston. After living in Boston for 5 years, he decided stability was a priority and life in the NFL was not what he wanted. With the help of a college friend, he moved to California and became a Varisty Offensive Line Coach. He was eventually hired by a law enforcement agency as a Correctional Officer and promoted to Deputy Sheriff, where he also holds the positions of Training Officer and Instructor. Family is so important to him because it has allowed him to become a better person.

Brody is our 2 year old son. He takes after his father, at almost 45lbs and over 3.5 feet tall! He attends daycare for socialization and development. He has learned sign language at daycare and with us. We have also read/sung to him since he was in the womb. He is a gentle soul, kind, compassionate and loves animals and babies. Although he is much bigger than most children his age, he is gracious, gentle and shares with the other toddlers and babies.

Our Home

We recently moved from a fast paced metropolitan city, to a more rural suburban area to provide a more "all-American" neighborhood for our children to grow up in. Our home is 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms with a large backyard, located within a gated community. Our community has two man-made lakes with a walking path, 3 newly constructed playgrounds and a basketball court within a 1 minute walk from our home. The local Elementary School is a 15 minute walk and we are less than a mile from major waterways that connect to a large river; for boating and water activities.

Our Extended Family

Our families are an amazing source of love and support in our lives. Jennifer's parents are both remarried and she has one brother. She is also close to her youngest aunt. Her mother is her best friend. They are more like sisters, as her mom has been there for every milestone in her life and helped deliver her son. They speak on the phone daily and make a point to visit one another at least once a month. Jennifer's brother and his girlfriend live one mile from the beach and love to take Brody on weekend excursions. They have taught him much about the beach, the snow, tinkering with tools and fun.

Geoff's parents are happily married and enjoying their retirement and traveling. They live on the East Coast, but visit us twice a year. He also has a younger brother in medical school. Geoff is very close to his mother and she is an amazing amount of support for him. I foresee in their retirement, his parents will be spending longer periods of time with us during their visits.

Our Family Traditions

Our families make a concerted effort to get together for holidays, birthdays and arrange family dinners throughout the year. These functions allow everyone to reconnect, as well as help establish bonds with our son.

As parents we believe to never turn away from giving affection, when it is needed. Always tell a child how loved and important they are. It is necessary to set boundaries and correct undesirable behavior. Love is not defined by skin, color or biology.

What Led Us To Adoption

We discussed adoption during our courtship, prior to getting married. It has been our plan in creating our family, to have one biological child and the remainder of our children would be through adoption.

Adoption has also touched both of our lives separately. Geoff's mother is adopted and had an amazing and supportive childhood. Jennifer and her mother were presented with a very difficult situation years ago, having to make the decision to petition for temporary custody of her brother's three small children and pursue adoptive parents for them, via the Foster Program. Ultimately the children were adopted through a semi-open adoption arrangement.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.

Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
