We are so excited to have the opportunity to expand our family. Thank you so much for considering us as potential adoptive parents and for taking this time to read our profile. We have always believed that adoption was in our plans and that became a beautiful reality for us in May of 2015 through the adoption of our daughter, Atalie. We have so enjoyed loving her and watching her grow. Now, we are thrilled for the chance to introduce a sibling and watch a new love develop in our family!

We both come from large families and grew up in the same small town, but did not meet until high school. We began dating soon after meeting and fell in love. Although we knew within weeks that we would be together forever, we dated for 4 years before marrying in 2003. Over the years, we have been involved in many activities and organizations involving children or children’s ministries. We have been Sunday School teachers, Youth Camp sponsors and leaders, worship leaders, coordinators for Operation Christmas Child, little league baseball coach and other volunteer positions that have allowed us to be involved in children’s lives. We also have 14 nieces and nephews with whom we have spent much time over the years.
We now have an amazing two-year-old daughter who we adore. We adopted Atalie at birth and were able to be there when she was born. There was an immediate connection and deep love that we had never experienced before. We are so excited to meet our next little miracle and to share that love again. We are especially thrilled for Atalie to be part of that very same process.
As a family, we are active members of our Church. We host and lead a small church group weekly and are part of the Church worship band. We enjoy gardening, landscaping and watching and playing sports; especially water sports, fishing, jet skiing and swimming. We also enjoy traveling, shopping and watching movies. Music has always been a passion for both of us and is actually how we met. We have both been playing instruments, singing and performing since we were young.
We live in a large, Mediterranean style home in a rural subdivision. Our house sits on about 3 acres of land. We have a stunning pool in our courtyard and an enclosed trampoline and large play set in our backyard. Many people say that Texas is a melting pot and they are absolutely right. Our neighborhood and our friends are a culturally diverse mix. mix. The city celebrates multiple ethnic holidays such as Dia de Los Muertos and Cinco de Mayo with parades, exhibits and festivals. We have access to museums, art centers and an education garden. Our large, city park has a duck pond, multiple playgrounds, a very nice restaurant, a memorial rose garden and our city zoo. There are adjacent sports fields and many smaller parks and splash pads in the area.
My Extended Family
Though we have large families, we are very close. We spend time with immediate and extended family throughout the year, in addition to holidays and birthdays. The kids love sleeping over and spending days with the grandparents and cousins. Atalie loves spending time with her aunt Sheila and her cousins and they love spending time with her! She really enjoys going to their games and to Chick-Fil-A with them.
My Family Traditions
For years, we have stayed over night at William's parents' house (Mimi and Pawpaw) to share Christmas Eve celebrations and open presents together the next morning. Then we go to Gennifer's grandmother Ann's house for Christmas lunch and to visit extended relatives. Then to Mamaw and Papaw's house to enjoy a big Christmas dinner, games, playtime, presents and stockings. We help with worship services on Christmas Eve each year, as well. At Easter, we have egg hunts at Mamaw and Papaw's house. Atalie gets a basket from them, from us and participates in an egg hunt at the church after service.
What Led Me To Adoption
We adopted our only child, Atalie. We are ready and excited to expand our family with a sibling for Atalie.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.
Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
