Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to review our profile. We are honored and admire your choice to consider us for the gift of a child. We pray that God guides your steps through what we imagine is a difficult decision.

Our bond and love for each other have grown stronger after going through 5 unsuccessful years of trying to grow our family the traditional way and also being foster parents for 3 years. We hope you can see the love we have for each other and our profile helps to paint a picture of us with your child.

So here is our vow to you and your child if you choose us as adoptive parents: We promise to always show unconditional love. We promise to wipe away every tear and mend every broken heart. We promise to say I love you every night. We promise to read stories and check under the bed for monsters. We promise to be their safe place for when the world gets them down. We promise to laugh and cuddle. We promise to be the loudest parents at tournaments, dance recitals, basketball, soccer, hockey games and concerts. We promise to go to every parent teacher conference. We promise to build, educate and support your child. We promise to provide the best life we know how.

About Us

We are William and Ashley.  Ashley is from Michigan and William is from Alabama. We currently live in North Dakota. We met working at the same Tupperware plant in Alabama. After a few months of making eye contact, Ashley decided to sit with William at lunch and when she smiled, he knew then he had to make her his wife. That started a year of nonstop Krispy Cream doughnuts, Zaxby's, banana splits, and Red Box movies. William started talking about the future, always speaking of "we" or "us". Day and night we talked about our plans.

Two months after William passed his Air-Force test, we were married at the justice of the peace in March 2011. We became inseparable and only had a few months before William had to leave for basic training. We wrote letters every day for 8 weeks and talked every Sunday afternoon.  We reunited at his graduation with family and friends for 3 days. We were separated again for another 3 months before William received orders to North Dakota, where we now live. We are ready to start our journey to build our family.

Our Home

For a long time, there were only foot prints and laughter in our dreams, but even from just small things we knew we could not wait to love you forever. Our home has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a blanket always available on our couch. We enjoy watching the sun rise and set from our balcony and hearing the kids scream as they run around the park. In our small town, everything we need is in our back yard. The nice part about living in a small town is that when you don't know what you are doing someone else does.

Our Extended Family

We are the children of strong men and beautiful women. Everything that we are is because of them We believe because they believed in us first. William has three sisters, Nikki, Vita and Deisha. Ashley has two brothers, Jason and Denzel. Our siblings are our first, best friends and we know that we will always be there for one another.

We are truly blessed to have a large network of family and friends who we consider a supportive village. We have already chosen William's best friend, Blake to be our future child's Godfather. We want you to know that your baby will be surrounded by so much love from grandparents, godparents, aunts and uncles. They are all beyond excited to welcome this new member to the family.

Our Family Traditions

The best thing about memories is making them. Anything we do together almost always turns into a competition, like who can get up the stairs the fastest or who unlocks the door first. “Sunday Funday” is basically a day that we get together with our closest friends and family to play games, picnic at the park, putt- putt mini golf, cook and watch movies. We get loud and laugh until we cry with each of us doing our best to win. One particular Sunday was the first time our current foster child had ever gone bowling. The look on her face, her smile, laughter and the many hugs and kisses made our hearts melt. Our foster daughter was so happy every time William bowled a strike, she became his mini cheerleader.

Our 1st vacation was in Minnesota, William and I shopped until I dropped. Two weeks prior to our trip we talked about our favorite childhood memories. William’s memory was his family’s 4th of July celebrations; him and his dad driving to Georgia to get fireworks and scratch off’s. Ashley’s memory was going bike riding with her mom, dad and brothers. William surprised her with rented bikes that we rode so far that we got lost and it took 2 hours to get back to the car.

What Led Us To Adoption

We've tried for 5 years to conceive on our own and with the help of our OBGYN. We did not want to go through another failed cycle. After being foster parents, we've decided adoption is the path we are meant to take.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.

Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
