Dear Birthmother,

We are so grateful you are considering our family and home as a loved, adored and treasured place for your Angel. We are both college educated professionals, successful in our respective fields. It has been a joy to grow together as a loving couple for the past 7 years. We have been very blessed to have God gift us with the joy of our lives, Emma Grace. Sadly, we have been unsuccessful in further expanding our family since her birth. We feel that a piece of our family is missing. We hope that you can feel in your heart and mind the reassurance that our lives and our love, protection, support and home will be abundant, as we raise your baby to become the best version of who they are meant to be. We love you and we will love this child forever.

About Us

We have both called Louisiana home for our entire lives up until two months ago, when we relocated to Texas for Jacob's job. Jacob's father and his family are native New Orleanians. Jacob comes from a family of four children; two brothers and one sister. Amber is a full-blooded Cajun woman. Her father speaks fluent Cajun French and her family still lives in southwestern Louisiana, where we visit often for get- togethers. She is from a family of four children; two brothers and one sister.

Amber has a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Louisiana State University (LSU). She currently works for the college system as an Administrative Analyst. We know that our children will always be a part of our lives, but also know they will grow up and start a family of their own one day, so we strive to keep our relationship strong and health. We also strive to help our children grow strong, happy and knowledgeable about the world around them.

Our daughter, Emma is the sunshine and joy of our lives. She has a great smile, is always cheerful, laughs often and is greatly looking forward to having a baby brother or sister. Family is our top priority.

Our Home

We were apprehensive to move to Texas after living in Louisiana our whole lives; however, we are loving Texas. When Jacob's job relocated us, we decided on Friendswood, Texas. There are so many wonderful things about Friendswood. It has the feel of a small town. The people are friendly and there is always something going on locally at the parks, library, local churches. The schools are the best in south Texas.

We bought a large home with a yard when moving here because we knew that we wanted out family to grow. Amber being a small town girl, feels that every child should have a yard to play in. She remembers her own childhood and the countless hours she spent playing outside. The nursery is still empty waiting to be filled. We don’t want to put anything in the nursery until we find the child meant to be ours. Our neighborhood has several parks and swimming pools nearby. Emma and Amber will walk to the park on nice days to enjoy some outdoor time.

Our Extended Family

Jacob's parents are still married and are both college educated. He has an older brother, younger sister and younger brother. His parents raised them to be good and proper citizens of their communities and to volunteer when they have the time. They were raised in a home where Jesus Christ is the central focus. Many of Jacob's extended family served in the armed forces in various capacities. Time spent with his family is best described as time spent joking, resting and enjoying each other's presence.

Amber comes from a close-knit family, who enjoy spending time with each other. She has three siblings, two older brothers and a younger sister. All of her siblings are business owners. Amber is the first person in her family to earn a college degree. She can always count on her family to support her and help in whatever way is needed.

Our Family Traditions

We like to visit our extended family. We also enjoy spending evenings at home playing games, watching videos or just playing around. We like to have Emma experience the world around us and try to take one family vacation a year to see the world and to have uninterrupted time as a family.

In our free time, we like to go shopping, eating out at restaurants, spending time at the beach and hiking, fishing and camping at the many local state/national parks. We love to cook at home and invite other families over for dinner. We also spend a lot of time volunteering with our Church, doing community service.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have been unable to have any more biological children because Amber's ovary was removed due to ovarian cysts. We still feel our family is incomplete and believe adoption is the way we are meant to grow our family. We want another angel to be a part of our story.

I adopted our son as a newborn after going through 12 years of infertility. Now, 23 years later, I am director at Everlasting Adoptions. Shortly after adopting our son, I started to feel a calling towards adoption. My career as a Human Resource Manager in Corporate America came to an end, and I entered what I now know is my purpose and passion in life — building families through the miracle of adoption.

Working with birthmothers and adoptive parents throughout the US for over 20 years has allowed me to utilize the skills I have been blessed with to serve others. I come to work every day not as a staff member coming to a job from 9 to 5, but as a person who is extremely dedicated and devoted to helping people like you every single day. I feel very blessed to have found my purpose, and I look forward to helping you with your adoption needs!
