Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for your consideration. We appreciate the opportunity to get to know you. We can only imagine what a difficult decision this must be. We are humbled by the opportunity you have given us, just by reading a little about us.

Our names are Jason and Aimee and we have been married for just over three years. We wish to adopt, as we are unable to conceive naturally. We feel that through adoption we will be able to have a family of our own and bring joy to a tiny human. We may not be perfect, but we try to be the best version of ourselves that we can be.

We will surround the baby with love, laughter, joy, a big family and many exciting adventures throughout their life. We very much would like to start our own family and truly hope that you feel that we will be the most loving choice for your baby.

About Us

We met years ago when we were just finishing college, through a mutual friend (who ended up marrying us). We stayed connected through the years and finally started dating. We got engaged in front of the castle at Disneyland, one of our favorite places to visit. A year later, we were married surrounded by family and friends. It was a joyous occasion that we look back on through happy tears.

As we settled into blissful married life, we found that we have many things that we enjoy doing together. We vacation out of the country often, as we think that visiting other places expands your knowledge of history and culture. We also vacation for fun, often to Disneyworld, Hawaii and on cruises. We have met so many wonderful people from around the globe on cruise ships, many of whom we have made lasting friendships with. For day trips, we hop in the car and head to Disneyland, Palm Springs, the beach or Northern California. We also enjoy hiking, swimming, cooking and going to museums.

Jason loves to garden and take photographs. He is also into running and drawing. Aimee likes to read (a lot) and also works on many arts and crafts projects. She also likes to bake and take dance classes. When all else fails we just pop on a pair of roller skates, or blades and go for a roll around our community, most of the time with a group of neighbors.

We both have full time jobs that we enjoy and find fulfilling. Jason works in television as an editor and Aimee works in education as a teacher or TA, depending on what is needed for the year.

Our Home

We live in a 3-bedroom townhome in a small, cute and quaint, gated community. The cultural diversity of the community is a mix of people and cultures. Our home has a small grassy front yard with a big tree. Our backyard is a good size with lots of flowers, plants, a small veggie, herb garden and a small succulent garden. We have a BBQ grill and a fire pit, which we have out in the warmer months when we are star gazing or making s'mores. The future nursery, current guest bedroom, is located upstairs across the landing from our master bedroom. There is plenty of room for a crib, changing table and dresser!

Our community also has communal gated swimming pools and tennis courts for all residents. We are close to a few community parks and trails, the YMCA with many classes for kiddos, dance studio and karate dojo. We also live near a 9/10 ranked public school.

Our Extended Family

We feel that we are unique in the fact that between the two of us our ethnic range covers most of the world. We are a very multi-ethnic household. Between the both of us some of the ethnicities we come from are: Chinese, Indonesian, French, Irish, Portuguese, Basque, Italian, Spanish, English, Scottish, Norwegian, Sardinian, as well as from many West African nations and Indigenous American. Our child will be loved and never feel like they are an oddity among the rest of the family. We love to learn about all our heritage and look forward to learning about our future baby’s, as well.

Our Family Traditions

Our families enjoy celebrating all holidays. Food is always the main attraction. Our families love to cook, eat, talk and play games. For any holiday, you can find both sides of our family gathered around a huge table full of food talking and laughing into the night. When the little ones get bored with the adults, you can find them playing together or with one of the grand-parents who are trying to relax. As the kids play together the adults break into teams and play board games. We laugh and tell stories of fun times we had in the past, how big the kids are getting and what excuse we can use to do this all again next weekend! Before we say good-bye there have been plans made for another family get together. Each age group also makes plans for "cousins/ siblings" night out, another excuse to get together, eat and talk. No matter what the occasion, we just love to be together!

What Led Us To Adoption

We made the choice to adopt as we were having trouble getting pregnant. We decided it was more important to give a baby a home than force getting pregnant ourselves. We are ready to transition from married couple to a family.
